Spring Garden Prep: Round Two

I’m gearing up for my spring garden, and this time, I’m switching things up! Instead of a full garden bed in the yard, I’m bringing the operation up to my balcony—three stories high.

Last spring, if you remember, Florida squirrels wiped me out. 😭 They feasted on my seedlings, dug through my soil, and left me with nothing but empty garden beds and broken dreams. This year, I’m hoping Texas squirrels have better manners. 🤞🏽

Since I have less space to work with, I’m keeping it simple and strategic. I’m growing:
✔️ Foods I actually eat often
✔️ Cool-weather crops that thrive in early spring
✔️ Plants that grow well in containers & raised beds

I’ve already set up a raised garden bed and have some large pots ready to go just in case. Now, I’m fine-tuning my crop plan—choosing what to seed, where to place everything, and how to keep it all healthy in a balcony setup.

I’ll be sharing updates along the way! If you’ve got balcony gardening tips or any advice for keeping squirrels out, drop them below! ⬇️ 🙏🏾
